New template. Think I'll be happy with this one. For a while...
I think my department is heading to be the most sued out of any store/department in the company.
Being a petrol station, we do get the odd claim on the insurance for our carwash knocking off wing mirrors and the like.
However we've been causing a lot more trouble recently...
We have a groovy new camera system, that takes a 360 degree photo of you when you pick up the pump. It also electronically reads the number plate and tags it with your transaction. It's great for getting photo evidence for drive offs.
Unfortunately this wonderful system only works when the people operating it know what they are doing, and not reporting the wrong person to the police.
We've had 3 people in the last couple of months, screaming blue murder because they've got a nasty letter from the police accusing them of a drive off. And they have reciepts to say they've paid as well.
Some idiot also decided to dump their car at the back of the garage. After a couple of weeks we decided to "donate" it to the local breakers yard. Like we always do.
Unfortunately the next day, the cars owner decided to come back and claim their car.
Got my cheque from the Union today. Yippee new shoes!!
I mean books...
The accompanying letter said the Education department would be passing my details on to the Union magazine for an interview.
Unfortunately the karma is going to get me...

New template today. I like the design but not the colours. Shall try and change it.
Orange just isn't my thing...
I Have Fallen In Love...
...With Harry Potter.
Not the Harry Potter. (The boy who survived!) Because he is like 11/12/13/14/15 and that is just sooooo wrong.
It's the whole concept of the Harry Potter universe that I love.
And I've only just figured this out now.
I watched the first two films at the cinema, and thought they were ok.
I then decided to get book 5, last summer, when it came out. Read it and liked it. So I then brought book 3 and 4, and read them. (As I already knew what happened in books 1 and 2 from the films.)
My opinion of Harry Potter was "ok". I can see why people like them. However I certainly wouldn't be queing up at midnight to get the next book from Smiths.
Then some wonderful person brought me books 1 and 2 for Chrismas.
I started reading them, and discovered they are so much better than the films. I then started reading the other books (in proper order) and enjoyed them soo much better the second time around. (maybe I could see the story developing better)
So I'm a fully paid up member of the HP fan club now. The Prisoner of Azkaban is out in June. Hopefully book 6 will be out in 2005?
I shall post on exactly why I like Harry Potter so much at a later date. (Wouldn't want to bore you that much, this time.)
New Years Resolutions
Eat less junk food.
Learn to drive.
Buy a select few good quality clothes, instead of masses of cheap stuff from Primark. (Less is more.)
Tidy my room more.
Clean less at work. (Other peoples mess is nasty and unhygenic.)
Lets see how I do...
Eccentric contemplation from a twenty something retail supervisor, living in suburban London.
