A Lidl Bit Of This
I went to Lidl yesterday. I heard on the OU Astronomy grapevine that they were selling 10x50 binoculars for the grand price of £9.99, so I had to go. My google monkeying skills couldn't find me anything near that price online.
After a briefing on the MSE forums on Lidl etiquettee, I turned up with my Waitrose bag for life, and Morrisons charity bag. I was too scared to use a trolley for fear of being banned for using it the WRONG WAY AROUND.
While I was there, I had orders to pick up anything Christmassy. So into my bag went a big box of panettone and lots of marzipan chocolate. Yummy! I found the binoculars in a dump bin in the middle of other nondescript stuff.
Then I had a nose around at what else they had. A jar of cherries, and some fancy looking olive oil went into the bag. I use lots of olive oil in my homemade pizzas.
I love going to different supermarkets and looking at the different stuff. Living a 'M' centric life makes me appreciate the different products that other shops sell. I'm a bit sad.
I got scowled at while I was at the checkouts for daring to take more than 3 seconds to repack my bags. Never mind. I might go back another day! I love European food.
I am now feeling rather sick from eating too much marzipan...

I got "persuaded" to donate after joking about selling it to a research company. I was very nervous, and couldn't stop shaking. But I did it, and didn't faint. My arm is a bit sore, but it didn't really hurt much. The free squash and biscuits were very nice as well. I picked up a copy of Billy's Big Book of Puzzles on the way out to keep me entertained on the way home.
Eccentric contemplation from a twenty something retail supervisor, living in suburban London.
